Dr. Prasad Challagulla
Dr. Prasad Challagulla began his career with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Bangalore University in 1998. After practicing general dentistry in India, he moved to the USA and earned a Master’s in Public Health from Boston University in 2002. During his residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, he conducted research on the effects of methadone on dental health and led mobile dental care initiatives for underserved communities.
He completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2007 from the University of Pennsylvania and practiced in Phoenixville, PA. Influenced by mentors and advancements in endodontics, he pursued a Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. At Penn, he became an educator in advanced microsurgery techniques and continues to serve as adjunct faculty from 2011. His Board Certification from the American Board of Endodontics highlights his clinical excellence.
Dr. Challagulla recently began a collaboration with the Department of Endodontics at St. Joseph's Dental College in his hometown in India, where he shares his expertise with the residents. He has also served as a Captain in the US Army Reserves.
He has received unwavering support throughout his career from his wife, a microbiology researcher. Dr. Challagulla takes pride in his family’s accomplishments, including his son’s Eagle Scout rank and his daughter’s progress toward the same honor. His career demonstrates a deep commitment to advancing dental health and education.
Dr. David Body
A fully-licensed practitioner, Dr. Body is Board Certified by the American Board of Endodontics which is considered the ultimate clinical credential, and only the top 20 percent of all specialists receive this accolade. Dr. Body grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania, where his grandfather inspired him to become a dentist at an early age. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from West Chester University. Dr. Body obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2013 from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, graduating magna cum laude. After practicing as a general dentist for nearly a decade he developed a passion for endodontics and knew he wanted to specialize. He went on to complete a two-year endodontic residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City before moving back to Maryland. His time as a general dentist included four years in Pikesville/Owings Mills and he and his family are happy to be back in the area!
Dr. Body tries to put every patient at ease with his calm demeanor. He enjoys using his skills to get patients out of pain and preserve their natural teeth. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), American Dental Association (ADA), and the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA). Besides being an endodontist, Dr. Body enjoys running outdoors, Cross-fit, and spending time with his wife and two young children.
Dr. Yaakov Barak
A fully-licensed practitioner, Dr. Barak is Board Certified by the American Board of Endodontics which is considered the ultimate clinical credential, and only the top 20 percent of all specialists receive this accolade. Dr. Yaakov Barak graduated Summa Cum Laude from Touro College, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Barak furthered his training with a General Practice Residency at New York Presbyterian/Queens. Following the completion of his advanced training, he practiced family dentistry in New York, before focusing on his passion for endodontics. To that end, he completed a three-year residency in endodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, serving as chief resident, while simultaneously earning his master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Barak is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association and the Maryland State Dental Association. Known for his calming demeanor, Dr. Barak uses the latest technology to provide the highest-caliber endodontic treatment while ensuring patient comfort.
Dr. Barak resides in Pikesville, Maryland, and enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his wife and adorable children.
